PACKAGING: Clear plastic bag, sealed.PRODUCT: Green lipped mussel powder - 100gFUNCTION: This came in a small, press-seal paper pouch with a wax type inner lining. The contents is a fine powder that has a strong fishy smell. I weighed the pouch and it came in at just over 100g, so the advert is accurate. This is for my dog and the serving guidance states 1g (1 scoop) per 20kg of body weight. My dog is 11.5kg, so he will need just the one serving. It's a shame there is no scoop included, which seems odd since the guidance refers to a scoop. However, I have measuring spoons so I put some of the power into a teaspoon, but this did not register on my scales. It transpires my kitchen scales are not sensitive enough to detect such a small amount of this fine powder. Since the bag contains 100g and a serving is 1g, there should be 100 servings inside. I really don't think there are 100 teaspoons in this pouch, but without decanting it all with a teaspoon, I wont know for sure. So I contacted the seller and they replied very quickly. A scoop should have been supplied in the packet. They sent me a photograph of the correct dosage (1g) of powder on a teaspoon, with the spoon placed on weighing scales. I attempted to replicate that quantity on my own teaspoon and then I decanted the powder into a measuring spoon to determine the amount. It does appear to be 1/4 teaspoon scoop. In conclusion: 1g = 1/4 teaspoon. This has an expiry date of August 2026. There is no guidance to state that it should be used within a certain period after opening, but it must be kept air-tight in a cool place.I can't say my dog is a fan of fishy things, but once sprinkled on his kibble, he doesn't really notice. This is a dietary supplement so its not something you can see the benefits of immediately. But it is advertised as being 100% natural, so that can't be a bad thing. At the time of this review the product was £13.95. If this does last 100 days (100 servings at 1g per day) then this is good value.
